The Selectmen race has been reduced by one candidate. According to the Town Clerk's office, Brock Tucy, of Glen Charlie Road, has withdrawn his candidacy from the race for one of two open seats on the Board of Selectmen. The seats are currently held by Chairman Bruce Sauvageau and John P. Cronan. Both are running for reelection. Stephen Holmes, Frank DeFelice and Cara Winslow are also seeking to win the seats.

The deadline to officially withdraw was Friday, March 5 at 5 p.m. According to Town Clerk Mary Ann Silva, Tucy withdrew around 4:30 p.m. He was the only candidate to withdraw from any of the races in the April 6 town election.
