September Book Clubs

Three book clubs will be meeting at the Wareham Free Library and the Spinney Branch Library in Onset this month.
 
On Thursday, September 12, the Mystery Book Club will be meeting at the main library at 6 p.m. to discuss “Open Season” by C.J. Box. “Open Season” is the first book in a series following Joe Pickett, a game warden in a small town in Wyoming.
 
The Fiction Book Club will meet at the Spinney Branch Library in Onset at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 20, to discuss “Clock Dance” by Anne Tyler. “Clock Dance” follows an older woman who makes an impulsive decision to fly across the country to look after a young woman who she has never met and her daughter.
 
The Non-Fiction Book Club will be meeting at the main library on Thursday, September 26 at 6 p.m. to discuss “Stranger in the Woods: The Extraordinary Story of the Last True Hermit” by Michael Finkel. The book follows the life of a man who spent 27 years living in the woods of Maine in complete solitude before returning to the world of other people after being arrested for stealing food.
