Shelter available throughout the winter at area churches

Starting Dec. 28, several churches in Wareham will open their doors for the homeless in need of a place to stay overnight.

If you are homeless or just out of heating oil and need a warm place to stay overnight or if you know of someone who is, churches affiliated with Nights of Hospitality can help.

Men, women, and families are welcome, and bedding, dry socks, dinner and breakfast are provided. The locations are open every night from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and are supervised by church volunteers.

The locations open are as follows:

Dec. 28-Jan. 3 – St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church (84 High St. – 508-295-2411)

January 4-10 – Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene (6 Rogers Ave. – 508-295-9268)

January 11-17 – Emmanuel Assembly of God (15 Highland Ave., Onset – 508-295-3111)

January 18-31 – St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church

February 1-7 – Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene

February 8-14 – St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church

February 15-21 – Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene

February 22-28 – St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church

March 1-14 – Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene

March 15-21 – St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church
