Shirley A. (Freestone) McDonald, 77
Shirley A. (Freestone) McDonald, 77, went to be with The Lord on October 12, 2014 at Tobey Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Virginia and Donald Freestone.
Shirley lived in Wareham for 43 years where she raised her family. A very religious woman, she volunteered at the Emmanuel Assembly of God in Onset for many years. She loved birds including her many pets. Shirley enjoyed having cups of coffee with family and friends. Most of all Shirley loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her children Scott Cavanaugh of Wareham, Paul D. Cavanaugh, Jr. of E. Wareham, Nancy D. Davies of Onset, and Karen A. Babbs and her husband Cornell of Pittsfield, MA; grandchildren Jackie, Amanda, Apryl, Michael, Vernon, Bryan, Jason and Stacy; seven great-grandchildren; and her siblings Donna Barber of FL, Nancy Dolan of NC, and Norman Freestone of FL. She was preceded in death by her daughters Sandra L. Cavanaugh, and Virginia M. Drollett.
Visiting hours will be held on from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 17 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy (Rt. 28), Wareham.
