Simply Making Room

Feb 12, 2010

Too much stuff, too much busyness, too much information, and too many obligations can make us crazy, not content. To help address this, the Church of the Good Shepherd, 74 High St., Wareham, will begin an educational series at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24, called "Simply Making Room." The Wednesday-evening series will focus on cleaning out the clutter of our lives and making room for what is most important by examining practical and spiritual disciplines to help clean out closets, to-do lists, calendars, and maybe even e-mail accounts.  The group will reflect on Scripture, share insights, and consider what is most important in, and what clutters up our life.

The evening will start with a soup supper and conclude with prayers and music from Taize.

Each week will focus on a different topic:

February 24: Stuff - Do we own it, or does it own us?

March 3: Family - Anybody home?

March 10: Work-(paid and unpaid)aholics

March 17: Christmas - it's the cra, cr, craziest time of the year

March 24: Technology - help or hindrance.
