Sleeping man, alleged stolen goods found in 'suspicious' vehicle

Wareham Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in a Tobey Hospital parking lot on Saturday, January 21, and in it, they found a sleeping man and electronics believed to have been stolen.

Brent Hollis Baker, 23, of Falmouth, formerly of Wareham, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property.

"Officers noticed several electronic items inside the vehicle [in] plain view and received varying answers from Mr. Baker when inquiries were made with regard to ownership of the items," according to a police statement.

Responding officers Ryan Gomes and John Iacobucci searched the vehicle and found cell phones with chargers and other electronics, such as an iPod, a Nintendo Gameboy, an MP3 player, and a GPS. The items were believed to have been stolen from area vehicles, according to police.

The Wareham Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident.
