A quick-hitting snowfall caused problems for Wareham drivers headed home during Tuesday’s afternoon commute.

The National Weather Service has a winter weather advisory in place until 4 a.m. on Feb. 1 as up to 4 inches of snow is predicted to fall.

According to emergency broadcasts, Wareham Police responded to several minor accidents that took place on Cranberry Highway and Glen Charlie Road among other locations in town.

After school programs and sporting events have been postponed due to the weather.
