Soon-to-be grads recognized at senior night
The crowd in the stands at Spillane Field roared as senior Vikings players Shane Biedugnis, Elijah Carrion, Xavier Hendricks, Alexander Burdick, Dylan Turner and Lucas Libby entered the field with their families. Large photos of each of the seniors hung on the fence between the field and the bleachers along with encouraging signs of blue and gold.
Wareham High School celebrated the graduating seniors of the Wareham Vikings varsity football team during their senior night game at Spillane Field on Thursday, Nov. 10.
The Wareham Tigers, The Tigers Cheer Team, and the Wareham Junior Vikings cheerleaders showed their support for the seniors by cheering them on.
Head Coach Fran Cass recognized the seniors for their performance this season.
“Dylan Turner played both sides of the ball really well,” he said. “Elijah Carrion is one of the smartest players on the team.”
The Vikings lost the game 0-26 against the Case Cardinals of Swansea, MA. Their final game is against the Bourne Canalmen at 10 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24.
