The SouthCoast Panthers Youth Hockey Association will be hosting the organization’s 7th Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, July 18. The event will be a best ball tournament. Play will commence with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. with registration at 11 a.m. at Whaling City Country Club located at 581 Hathaway Road in New Bedford.

The SCPYHA is looking for foursomes, individual players, and sponsorships, as well as donations to support their league. The funds SCPYHA raises will be used to offset the cost of ice time and allow children who want to skate the opportunity to continue to do so without tuition costs becoming prohibitive.

The stated goal of the league is "to allow skaters and future skaters the opportunity to enjoy the great sport of ice hockey."

In the case of inclement weather, the rain date will be July 25.
