Drivers are being cautioned that overnight work will force detours on the I-195 ramps crossing I-495 in Wareham from Nov. 5 through Dec. 7.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation is performing the work, which consists of bridge deck and joint repairs. The work will occur from 9 p.m., to 5 a.m. each week from Sunday through Friday. Repairs will require overnight closures of I-495/Route 25 Exit 1 to I-195 westbound and I-195 westbound Exit 22B to I-495 northbound.

The following detours will be in place:

For drivers traveling on Route 25 northbound wanting to access I-195 westbound traffic will be detoured to I-495 Exit 2 to I-495 southbound to Exit 1 to I-195 westbound.

For drivers traveling on I-195 eastbound wanting to access I-495 northbound traffic will be detoured to I-195 Exit 22A to Route 25 southbound to Exit 2 to I-495/Route 25 northbound.

Signs and police details will be posted to help direct traffic. Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays.
