The Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, Division of Conservation Services (DCS), has approved the Wareham Open Space and Recreation Plan.

With this approval, Wareham is eligible to apply for conservation grants offered by the state through August 2017.

The plan, which was compiled by the Open Space Committee, details Wareham's open space and recreational facilities and identifies policies for these areas' maintenance and improvement.

The plan is available on the Town website, under Open Space Committee, and at the Wareham Free Library.

The Open Space Committee offered thanks to everyone who participated in the preparation of this document.
