Students in Kimberlee Scott’s sixth-grade academic engagement class at Wareham Middle School donated boxes of handmade books to Tobey Hospital and the Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Wareham last week.
The students spent the past several weeks writing the books. Some of the stories were more than 20 pages long.
“This class of 22 students decided when they arrived to my room on the first day of the new quarter that they wanted to write a book,” said Scott. “I'm impressed with their hard work and dedication to accomplish this huge task.”
