Summer chamber concert series begins July 26

Jul 11, 2017

Music from Land’s End Wareham returns July 26 for its sixth season of summer festival concerts.

Wareham summer resident Ariadne Daskalakis, an internationally recognized violinist, began the summer chamber music concerts by bringing colleagues and students from Europe with whom she collaborates during the year.

At Music from Land’s End Wareham, Artistic Director Ariadne and her husband Sebastian Gottschick, composer and violinist/violist, have consistently delighted audiences by creating programs that combine different musical styles that appeal to audiences of all ages.

This year the group will perform six concerts which will include music by Mozart, Sarasate, Schumann, Gottschick, Handel, Pachelbel, Biber and The Beatles.

In addition to Daskalakis and Gottschick, performers include Ricardo Caraceni on violin, Andria Chang, violinist, Abigail Fischer and Putnam Murdock, vocals, Arthur Haas, harpsichord/keyboard, Martha McGaughey, viola da gamba, Leonardo Papa, viola and Paige Riggs, cello.

The first concert is July 26 at 3 p.m. at the Wareham Free Library, with proceeds benefitting the library. This is a family concert featuring music by Mozart, Sarasate, Schumann and The Beatles. There will also be a concert July 30 at 5 p.m. and August 13 at 5 p.m., both at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Wareham.

All concerts are open to the public. Admission is by donation.
