Sylvania R. “Sally” (Baptiste) Sequeira, 87, of Wareham, died January 26 in the Royal Cape Cod Nursing and Rehab Center, Buzzards Bay. She was the daughter of the late James and Casimeira (Rodriques) Baptiste.

She was born in Wareham and lived there most of her life.

Mrs. Sequeira worked as a housekeeper at Roland Thatcher Nursing Home. Previously she worked as a custodian at the Ethel Hammond Elementary School and as a screener for Ocean Spray Cranberry Company.

She enjoyed dancing, listening to music, and shopping.

Survivors include 2 sons, Timeo J. Sequeira Jr. of Wareham and Dana D. Sequeira, Sr. and his wife Kathy of Wareham; 9 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Eugenia “Jennie” Fernandes, Antone Julio, and James and Joseph Baptiste.

Visiting hours are from 4 to 5 p.m. only on Wednesday, February 1 in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.
