Thank you for help with "Nicole's Team" fundraiser

Jun 6, 2014

To the Editor:

I would like to thank everyone that went above and beyond to make the benefit for “NICOLE’S TEAM” a huge success. A special thank you goes to three family members that went above and beyond to help me through this endeavor: Auntie Cheryl, Peter & Jordan. Without your support and encouragement I don’t think I would have made it.

Thank you to Chef Dave Johnson who volunteered his time and cooking skills to make an amazing buffet for all to enjoy. Thank you to Bailey’s for sending a tray of Asian chicken ready to go. A HUGE shout out to Michelle Gardina a.k.a. “The Mad Hatter” who donated all the cupcakes and dozens of cookies for all to enjoy.

I have to send a huge thank you to Tom at Kool Kone. Tom not only donated gift certificates but he donated everything from plates to silverware and anything in between. Tom came to my job to let me know whatever I needed just ask, and he would do it. You don’t meet people like him anymore; I was so overwhelmed by his generosity. I was a complete stranger to Tom until I asked for a simple donation for my daughter. Thank you, Tom.

To the numerous businesses in Wareham and Buzzards Bay, your generosity was overwhelming. A big thank you to A.J. Marks for your generous monetary donation, ABA Moonwalks for your donation of a Jumpy House (the little girl that won it was so excited), Home Depot for the outdoor grill, microwave, drill and door (for the DOOR prize).

Thank you to Elements, YMCA, Marc Anthony’s, Salerno’s, Inn on the Bay, Tropical Tan, and to all the businesses that donated, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Thank you for the very generous personal donation made by some very special friends and “family” members.

A HUGE thank you to Joanie & Fred of the Wareham Elk’s #1548. These two people went above and beyond in helping me remain calm after having a meltdown setting up for the benefit. I cannot thank them enough for all the help and support they gave me.

Donations can still be sent to the Plymouth County Federal Teachers Credit Union: “Nicole’s Team” c/o P.C.F.T.C.U. PO Box 189, 2203 Cranberry Hgy. West Wareham , Mass. 02576.

Thank you,

Marjory Rakoski,  proud mother of Nicole Rakoski-Calvin
