To the Editor:

The Onset Cape Verdean Festival Association would like to give a big heartfelt "thank you" to all the supporters and volunteers who came out on May 8 to support the Mother’s Day Brunch. The support from the community was overwhelming considering that this was our first year.

We would like to give special thanks to all the businesses and supporters in the community who reached out and donated or gave a contribution to this year’s event.

A special thanks to: Kevin Fernandes and Adrian Drakes, cooks; Flowers in Bloom, Marion, MA; Anchor Liquors; Liquor Locker; Oak Grove Package Store; Shirt Shack; Marc Anthony’s; Pier View Restaurant, Piper Beau’s; Dudley Brown, VFW Post 2846; All the members of the OCVFA who volunteered their time and talent on Mother’s Day to make our brunch a success.
