Shop for plants.

The Wareham Garden Club’s Spring Plant and Bake Sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 18 at the Methodist Meeting House, 485 Main Street. The sale will feature perennials, herbs, annuals, vegetables, baked goods, and books. The Club recommends arriving early for the best selection and to talk with neighbors and club members. Do yoga.

Head to the Boys and Girls Club, 13 Highland Ave., Onset, at 9 a.m. to do yoga with Laura and support Onset’s summer concert series. This class is open to people of all abilities, who should wear comfy clothes, avoid eating before class, and bring a mat or blanket and water to drink. The suggested donation is $10 and kids are free.

Walk with butterflies and insects.

The Wareham Land Trust is hosting a free walk at 10 a.m. with entomologist Blake Dinius, who will teach participants about local butterflies and insects before leading a walk through the Westgate and Fearing Hill Trails. The walk will begin at the Douglas S. Westgate Conservation Area at 29 Papermill Rd. For more information, go to www.warehamlandtrust.org.

Learn self-defense.

Women can take a free self-defense course at SBG East Coast in Wareham from 12 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 18. The seminar is open to everyone and requires no prior experience. Win meat.

The Onset VFW will hold a Bunker Meat Raffle on Saturday, May 18 at 4 Gibbs Ball Park Rd, Onset at 3 p.m.

Support DECA at an auction.

Wareham High’s DECA club will host its 40th annual auction at 5 p.m. in the High School Cafeteria, 7 Viking Drive. Tickets, which cost $7, include a catered dinner. Attendees can bid on silent auction items and in a live auction led by Philip Gomes. Auction items include a round of golf, paintings, gift cards, and tickets to see the New England Revolution. Proceeds will support the group’s participation in competitions.
