Thrift shop warms hearts
It may be cold outside, but the Next to New Thrift Shop Dollar Sale will warm hearts this February.
Next to New, a thrift shop located at First Congregational Church, UCC, 11 Gibbs Avenue, will host a February dollar sale, with all women’s, men’s and children’s clothing on sale for only one dollar.
The sale will run on February 22 through 24. The store is open Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday from 12 to 4 p.m.

Monday, Feb. 26

Celebrate the stars
Celebrate Black History Month and the upcoming Academy Awards ceremony with “A salute to classic black stars of Hollywood,” at the Wareham Free Library, 59 Marion Road, on Monday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m.
Meet some of the talented black men and women who staarred in Hollywood motion pictures throughout the 20th century. The program is free, with no registration required. It is sponsored by the Friends of the Wareham Free Library.

Monthly meat
The Redmen Hall will host its monthly meat raffle on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 745 Main Street.
The doors open at 6 p.m., a meal will be served at 6:30 p.m. and raffles start at 7 p.m. The cost is $8.
The Redmen Hall meat raffle is usually held on the first Friday of every month. For more information, please call the Redmen Hall at 508-291-0882.
