Thomas Spinola, Jr., 50
Thomas William Spinola, Jr., of Wareham, known to friends and family as “Tommy” or “Buck.” Bucked passed on Dec. 7 after living a life full of fun and crazy adventures.
Born to the late Diana Spinola (Gomes) of Wareham and Thomas Spinola, Sr. of Florida on May 21, 1967. Buck was raised with his younger brother, Brian Spinola of Wareham. He attended Bourne Schools and was a star athlete on the football and baseball teams. His teachers and peers would often describe him as the class clown and mischievous, but a kind soul.
In his adult years, he worked as a skilled laborer specializing in concrete forms and was a member of Laborers Local # 385. Buck worked hard to provide for his children, Nick Spinola of New Bedford, Falicia Rose of Wareham, Brendan Spinola of Wareham and Mariah Spinola of Denver, Colorado. His children and his granddaughter Alanni Spinola were his pride and joy. He was known to brag about them for hours.
Buck was known for being a big guy with an even bigger heart. The older he got, the more his family grew with Suzette, Wayne, Georgie, Sue, Miguel, and many others becoming like siblings to him, and their children even calling him “Uncle Buck.” He had many cousins, aunts, uncles, “siblings,” nieces, nephews and many friends whom he held dear to his heart. He was the type of man to open his ears and heart to anyone who needed it. He would give you the shirt off his back to see you smile. Buck was known as one of the best on the softball diamond in Buzzards Bay.
Buck’s love and knowledge for Jesus Christ was remarkable. He is remembered by his loved ones for being silly and knowing the answers to the craziest of questions. Buck will be missed forever, and loved for even longer.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, Dec. 14 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Route 28), Wareham from 4 to 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. followed by a repass at the Dudley Brown V.F.W. Post, 4 Gibbs Ball Park Road, Onset.
