Thomas Spinola Sr.

Thomas W. Spinola Sr. of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Buzzards Bay and Wareham, passed away on Jan. 20 after a brief illness.

He was born in Wareham, attended Wareham Schools and was employed at the Sandwich Power Plant for many years before relocating to Florida.

Tommy loved fishing, cars and, most importantly, spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Lourdes Spinola of Tampa, Florida; his son Brian Spinola of Mashpee, three stepdaughters, Pearl, Christina, Tiana; stepson Anthony all of Florida; four sisters, Gloria Thatcher and Lillian McGruder of Wareham; Eloise Spinola-Depina and Nancy Spinola of Brockton. Two brothers Anthony (Cushy) Spinola and Joseph Spinola of Wareham; grandchildren Nick Spinola, Brendan Spinola, Falicia Canizales, Joseph Spinola, Mariah Spinola and Jacoby Spinola of Massachusetts; Melan, Anaiya, Trinity and Linnise of Tampa, Florida and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents Alice (Rodrick) Spinola and Vincent Spinola. He was the brother of the late Frances Sanchez, Vincent Spinola Jr., Lucy Senna, Gladys Baptiste and Phillip Spinola. The father of the late Thomas (Buck) Spinola and his first wife Diane (Gomes) Spinola.

There will be a memorial celebration of his life on Monday, Jan. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Onset Foursquare Church, 301 Onset Avenue Onset, MA. 02558.
