Tina C. (Chaves) Frias, 63, of Wareham, died Feb. 12, 2022, at Royal Cape Cod Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Buzzards Bay. 
She was born in Aeroporto, Santa Maria, Azores and moved to Canada in 1967.  In 1973, she moved with her family to Hudson, MA where she graduated from Hudson High School, before moving to Wareham in 2003.

She worked a variety of jobs throughout her life but loved her time helping students as an Administrative Assistant at Cape Cod Community College in the office of Student Services. She was also a licensed massage therapist and member of the American Massage Therapy Association. She loved music, dancing, cooking, and traveled the  world as a guide for Grand Circle Travel. She truly loved nature and enjoyed gardening, especially herbs. She also rescued, loved and cared for many cats and dogs throughout her life.

Survivors include her parents, Manuel A. and Maria L. (Monteiro) Chaves of Wareham; 2 sisters, Margarida “Maggie” and her husband Rui Chaves of Hudson and Cidalia “Cindy” Chaves of Wareham; 2 brothers, Victor and his wife Genevieve Chaves of Hudson and Paul Chaves of Harwich; her many nephews and nieces, Leslie, Allen, Amanda, Vanessa, Chelsea, Chantelle, Victor, Isabel, Lillana; her great nephews and nieces, Angelina, Daniella, Manuel, Alia, Julia, Rocco, Lucien, Desmond, Aurora, Christian, Emmet, Josephine, Jameson, and Ariana. 

Visiting hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 18, 2022 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. A funeral Mass will follow at St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham at 10:00 a.m.
