Toastmaster Club meets every second and fourth Thursday

Mar 30, 2015

The SouthCoast Toastmaster’s Club, also known as Marion Toastmaster’s Club, is a public speaking, communications and leadership organization that meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. at the Wareham Free Library.

At the meetings, the group discusses a vocabulary word of the day and a joke of the day. There are then two five to seven-minute prepared speeches and two- minute extemporaneous speaking sessions followed by evaluations of what just happened.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch.

The Club is meant to help participants get over their speaking jitters and to gain confidence in presentation skills.
