Town Election, Meeting postponed

Apr 15, 2020

The Town Election has been delayed until June 23, as approved by the Board of Selectmen on April 15.

Currently, Massachusetts law mandates that the election be held before June 30, although the Selectmen agreed they would be open to delaying it further if allowed by state law and it seems best for the health and safety of residents and poll workers.

Early voting is available for this election by contacting the Town Clerk’s office, which can mail ballots to residents’ homes.
The clerk’s office is open from 8 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday, and can be contacted by calling (508) 291-3140.

Town Meeting has also been postponed until June 15.

The Wareham Fire District Annual Meeting has been postponed until May 12, and may be postponed further if necessary to protect the public’s health and safety.
