Traditional rivals play at Bourne tomorrow
The 2015 edition of the Thanksgiving Day Bourne-Wareham football rivalry will be held at 10 a.m Bourne High School, pitting two teams whose records indicate the game should be pretty even.
Unfortunately, neither team has had great success this year. Wareham brings its 3-7 record, while Bourne limps in with only a 2-7 record.
Wareham coach Dan Nault's team has struggled most of the year. After opening the season with a win over Case, this team won only one more game before blowing out Carver in its last game, 42-20. While the team has stayed in some games for a half, it has more often been overwhelmed by opponents, suffering lopsided losses. Injuries have plagued the team throughout the season.
Bourne has had a similar season, starting its season with a win, but then losing eight of its next nine games. A win on Thanksgiving Day would make the winners feel better, and give the losers a chance to share commiserations and remember the ones that got away.
