Trick or Treat haunts Main Street

Oct 27, 2023

Wareham's Main Street played host to all manner of ghouls and goblins the afternoon of Friday, Oct. 27.

The sidewalks were packed with trick-or-treaters, brought together for the Wareham Village Association's annual Main Street Trick or Treat.

A person with the village association said he was glad for the day's nice weather,

Local businesses with Main Street storefronts handed out candy to the kids who attended.

Jessica Clarke, owner of Jessica Clarke Law, said it was her first time participating in the event. Clarke's business moved to Main Street last August but didn't know about the event in time to take part that year.

This year's event was "awesome," said Clarke. "It's absolutely wonderful—these guys are so cute."

Jessica Braley, owner of the Grey Witches Gallery and Tattoo shop, said it was her first year at the event as well, having opened up her shop over the summer.

The community spirit of events such as this was one of the reasons Braley came down to Main Street, she said.

Mary Labonte, founder of Mumma Mary's Italian Cafe, said it was her ninth year at the event, and she anticipated it being busy going into the day from her previous experience.
