Truck strikes railroad bridge in Wareham

A tractor-trailer truck got sandwiched beneath the railroad bridge near the intersection of Main Street and Fearing Hill Road Wednesday morning.

The Cape Cod Express truck had its roof “completely torn off,” according to emergency broadcasts.

The incident closed the road for approximately two hours and the truck was removed just after 11 a.m. According to emergency broadcasts, the truck’s driver was issued a citation for a “restricted lane violation.”
