Wareham and Marion first responders arrived at the scene of a car accident that happened in front of the Gateway Tavern on Sunday evening.

The accident was reported at 5:11 p.m. According to initial emergency broadcasts, those involved in the accident were conscious and alert when EMTs arrived.

One car, a late-model Monte Carlo, suffered moderate to heavy front end damage. The condition of the second car is unknown. The medical status of anyone involved in the crash is also unknown at this time.
