A man and woman were taken to Tobey Hospital after a rollover accident on Route 25 in East Wareham Sunday evening, according to state police.

The two were reportedly driving in a green Jeep eastbound on Route 25 at about 6 p.m. when they were rear-ended by a young man driving a sedan, which then rolled over into the median.

Sgt. Joseph Baker of the Massachusetts State Police said the man and woman were transported to the hospital with minor injuries by Wareham EMS. He said Wareham Police, Fire Department, EMS and Onset Fire Department assisted in the rescue.

Baker said the driver of the sedan did not sustain any injuries and would be cited for the incident. The middle lane on Route 25 eastbound was shut down for about 10 minutes, according to Baker.
