A knife-wielding, suicidal man was apprehended inside his mobile home on Cranberry Highway Monday morning, according to Wareham Police.

Police said the 27-year-old man was apprehended after a brief stand-off with officers, during which he refused to let officers inside the mobile home at Lakeside Mobile Home Park, 3030 Cranberry Highway.

The man was transported to Tobey Hospital by Wareham EMS for treatment of superficial, self-inflicted wounds, according to police.

Police said the man was the only person at the house at the time of the incident, which began shortly after 9 a.m., and that no weapons were located at the scene aside from the knife.

Officers from the Wareham Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police responded to the incident.

Police said no criminal charges are expected to be filed against the man at this time.
