Updated March program schedule at the Council on Aging

The Council on Aging has updated its March program schedule.

Line dancing will be offered on Tuesdays between 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Yoga classes will also be held on Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m. Computer classes at the COA are now on Mondays, not on Fridays.

Creative writing with Robert Slager, editor/publisher of the Wareham Observer, will begin on Thursday, March 3. Classes are scheduled for 2 p.m. and will run for an hour. The is cost is $60 for the 6-week program.

Coffee and chocolates - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly – a 45 minute program presented by Hospice Services of Massachusetts is scheduled for Tuesday, March 29 in the Community Room in the Multi-Service Center. The event is free and open to all.

Beacon Hospice is once again running its eight-week, free program from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. on Fridays. Register with Scott Ciosek of that agency 508-747-7222.

The New Bedford Local Consumer Program representative will be at the COA on Monday, March 14 at 10 a.m. to answer your questions on debt collection. The program is free and opened to all.

The COA is also looking for volunteers to help seniors with tax preparation. For information on any of these programs or if you’d like to volunteer call the COA at 508-291-3130.
