The Town of Wareham will be honoring Veterans Day this Thursday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. at the Dudley Brown Onset VFW at 4 Gibbs Ball Park Rd.

The ceremony, sponsored by the Wareham Veterans Council, will include a tribute to the town’s veterans with remarks from Rep. Susan Williams-Gifford and Sen. Marc Pacheco. 

Two Wareham students will also speak at the event. Eighth grader and Patriotic Pen essay contest winner Caleb Lincoln will read his speech, as will Amaya Anderson, a senior and Voice of Democracy speech winner.

The event will also include patriotic musical selections, a static display of military vehicles, and a free luncheon, sponsored by the VFW Auxiliary. 

The public is welcome to attend.
