A group of veterans meets every other Tuesday for conversation, connection, and to talk to local officials.

This week, the vets met with representatives of the Wareham Police Department, including Acting Chief John Walcek, and Michael Jackman of Congressman Bill Keating’s office. 

The group is facilitated by Susan Grebber, who sees it as her way of giving back to the men and women who served the country.

The meetings are a place for veterans to talk about the issues that affect them, including physical and mental health and dealing with the Veterans Affairs systems.

In March, the group will meet at 10 a.m. on March 3, 17, and 31 in the conference room at the Dunkin Donuts in West Wareham at 2360 Cranberry Hwy.
