VFW Post 2846 thanks those involved with Memorial Brunch
Members of the Dudley L. Brown VFW Post 2846 would like to thank all of the people, organizations, and businesses that took part in or supported the recent annual PFC Carlos James Rose Memorial Brunch on March 30, which is to salute four residents from the town of Wareham who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in southeast Asia. These men—Richard Arruda, Ronald Bumpus, James Crowley, and Carlos Rose—were members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
To the families of these heroes, the members of the VFW will continue to have a place of honor for these fallen comrades, and would like to extend a special and sincere debt of gratitude for allowing its members to share in your grief during these past years and in the future, for their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
The VFW would also like to thank:
Guest speaker John A. Cole, Airborne Special Forces Group (Green Berets) southeast Asia; Guest Speaker Charles Andrade Jr., Officer, U.S. Army, who served in southeast Asia, as well as being former Clerk Magistrate for Juvenile Court in Wareham, and graduate of Wareham High.
