The Wareham Historical Society will hold an open house on Monday, October 16 at 7 p.m. for the viewing of a historic scrapbook collection. It will take place at the Methodist Meeting House, 495 Main Street, Wareham.

The scapbooks were created by Clair McWilliams, who was the first woman to serve on the Wareham Select Board. The records McWilliams kept provide a window into the town’s events into the 1970s. Vivian Gallerani donated the scrapbooks to the Wareham Historical Society.

Members can attend for free. Non-members will need to pay a $2 admission fee. Refreshments will be served after the program. For more information, please call 508-295-8578.
