The “Learn ’n’ Walk Toward Ending Hunger” event will be held on Aug. 2 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Wareham Middle School track, located at 4 Viking Drive.

Learn ‘n’ Walk Toward Ending Hunger is a CARE Summer program service learning project to help raise funds and awareness for the STAGE Weekend Backpack Food Program. That program confidentially identifies Wareham students in need and provides food for them on weekends.

The event will raise money to buy food to fill backpacks. People may donate money that day or send a tax-deductible donation to the Wareham Public Schools Office of Beyond School Time/STAGE. Send donations to: STAGE  ℅ Ms. Janice Barton, Wareham Middle School, 4 Viking Drive, Wareham, MA 02571
