Wareham business donates toys to Dick Melloni Youth Foundation

Affiliated Professional Services is donating hundreds of toys to the Dick Melloni Youth Foundation this Christmas thanks to generous contributions from its employees.

This is the 10th year that the medical billing office located on Cranberry Highway has collected gifts for the Foundation’s annual toy drive. According to Enrollment Director Jesse Moniz, the donation pile grows bigger with each passing year.

“We’re a local company that wants to give back locally,” Moniz said. “And everyone here has been so generous.”

Scott Cubellis, the owner of Affiliated Professional Services, donated over $500 worth of toys himself.

“And we still have about $200 worth left to buy,” Moniz said.

The Dick Melloni Youth Foundation was formed in memory of Wareham Deputy Fire Chief Dick Melloni who passed away unexpectedly in 1993. The nonprofit organization works to support children's education, health and welfare in Wareham.

In its first year, Foundation’s toy drive served roughly 30 local families. By 2016, that number had increased to 600.
