Wareham Business Expo comes to the Marriott in May

The third annual Wareham Business Expo is set to take place at the Rosebrook Events Center inside the new Marriott Hotel on Friday, May 8.

The Expo will be hosted by the Wareham Community and Economic Development Authority (CEDA), the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce, and the Cranberry Country Chamber of Commerce.

The featured keynote speaker at the Expo will be Dorothy Savarese, president and CEO of the Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank, which expanded to open its first off-Cape branch in Wareham last year.

The Expo will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rosebrook Event Center, located inside the new TownPlace Suites by Marriott at 50 Rosebrook Place in Wareham.

According to organizers, the event will show attendees how to expand their businesses and make industry connections. A luncheon and panel discussion to address strategies of business growth and workforce development is scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. Panelists include Melinda L. Ailes of the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center, Christine Moynihan of Principal Retail Visioning, and Peter J. Muise of the Greater New Bedford Workforce Investment Board.

Admission to the Expo alone is free of charge and open to the public. Lunch costs $25 per person or $175 for a table of eight people. Exhibitors include regional businesses from the banking industry, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, the media, marketing companies, and more.

For those interested in becoming an exhibitor, booths cost $125 or $100 if registered by April 10. Booth registrations include one lunch.
