Wareham Elks donate $3,000 to Veterans Council
Nov 16, 2016
Members of the Wareham-New Bedford Lodge of Elks No. 73 presented the Wareham Veterans Council with $3,000 to bring a replica of the Vietnam War Memorial to town.
Elks member Ted Hatch said the money was raised in accordance with the organization’s dedication to veteran causes.
The money will be used to help the council to bring “The Moving Wall” to Wareham next August. The wall is a half-size replica of the full size memorial, located in Washington, D.C.
“I want to extend our appreciation to the Elks for their support,” said Wareham Veterans Council member Bob White. “It’s a great way to kick off this project, and we’re looking forward to collaborating with the Elks.”
