Wareham first responders tend to 3 car crashes in 2-hour span
Over the course of two hours on Friday evening, Wareham first responders were at the scenes of three different car crashes. According to emergency broadcasts, no major injuries were reported.
The first, a rollover, was reported just before 5:30 p.m. on Route 495 at the exit 2 off ramp. The crash occurred during a downpour. Emergency broadcasts reported the driver exited the vehicle and was speaking with EMTs upon arrival.
At approximately 6:13 p.m., Wareham firefighters, EMTs and Police responded to the area of 138 Glen Charlie Road for a two-car crash involving three people.
Emergency broadcasts report that some of the occupants had been injured. That section of Glen Charlie Road was closed briefly as crews worked to clear the scene of both vehicles, which were badly damaged. Wareham Municipal Maintenance was called to clean up hazards at the scene.
The third crash occurred on Route 25 near mile marker 7. Emergency broadcasts report that the crash involved a single vehicle that struck a guardrail.
