I found out today that the collection jar that has been sitting on the front desk at the library was stolen on Thursday.  This collection jar has been in place for quite time and library users have been very generous in dropping their change into it.  How sad is it that someone has to steal from our library.  This money was used to buy books and materials for programs for both children and adults, which are not funded in the library budget.  I did not want this travesty to go  unnoticed.  I am sorry that an individual thought they had more need of this money than the library.
