Wareham High Key Club donates new Viking flag to school

Mar 9, 2015

When the flag in front of Wareham High School fell into disrepair from the winter's harsh weather, the Wareham High School Key Club noticed.

The group, still in its inaugural year, recently purchased and donated a new flag to be flown in front of the school.

"We are very appreciative of the Key Club's fundraising efforts to support the school with the purchase of a new Viking Flag," said High School Principal Scott Palladino. "I am very impressed with their work within the community. It's been a great inaugural year for the Key Club."

The Key Club already has many service projects planned for the spring, including a school supply drive for the needy, a care package drive for military overseas and a veteran cemetery cleanup for Memorial Day among others.

The Wareham chapter of the Key Club is sponsored by the Bourne-Wareham Kiwanis Club with William Jenkins as Kiwanis' Key Club advisor.
