The Wareham Library Foundation has received a $2,500 grant from TD Bank's TD Charitable Foundation for its Reading Partners program for the second straight year.
Reading Partners is an adult tutoring program at the Wareham Free Library where volunteers with adults and out-of-school youth to improve reading and writing, English, and computer skills. Help is also available for preparation for the high school equivalency test and other exams. This grant is vital to the continuation of the program.
The TD Charitable Foundation donated the $2,500 as part of the bank’s commitment to giving back to the community.
"Reading Partners doesn't get any funding from the town," said program director Deena Kinski. "We rely only on grants."
