Wareham Little League to host 24-hour ballgame

Apr 22, 2011

Wareham Little League will host the 24-hour Ballgame during Memorial Day weekend, May 28-29. The ballgame is an effort to raise money to replace bleachers and build a playground area at the Little League complex on Charge Pond Road.

Every Little League team will play at least 1 game at the complex during the 24 hours. The event will feature face painting, a dunk tank, food, a sports memorabilia silent auction, raffles, concerts, and more.

Families are invited to camp in tents on the minor league field overnight.

Each player will seek online donations with their own webpage and online donation invitation. The top 20 fundraisers will earn the opportunity to have lunch with Red Sox great Nomar Garciaparra. The top 10 fundraisers will sit at Nomar’s table, while the top two fundraisers will sit by his side at lunch.
