A Wareham man has been charged for trafficking fentanyl.

On Friday, March 5, police conducted a raid of a room at the Rosewood Motel following an investigation into illegal narcotics activity. 

There, detectives seized 56 grams of suspected fentanyl, along with $2,947 in cash, a digital scale, and other items “associated with the illegal narcotics trade.”

The resident of the room, Matthew Watterson, 30, was arrested in Bourne and charged with trafficking in more than 10 grams of fentanyl.
