Wareham Police apprehend five in two separate events involving burglary and drugs.
Wareham police had a busy evening last Tuesday, arresting five individuals in two unrelated incidents that culminated investigations into numerous burglary and drug offenses.
Police arrested 31-year-old Christopher Franklin of High St., Wareham, who fled when confronted by an alert employee of Zecco Marine, #2 Ware Ave, Wareham. Over the past three weeks, numerous boats in winter storage at the business had broken into, resulting in the theft of over $25,000 worth of marine electronics, fishing gear and t.v. and stereo equipment. The business owners initiated around-the-clock surveillance of the facility, and the employee was suspicious when Franklin appeared wearing black clothing and carrying a duffle bag. Franklin is charged with receiving stolen property over $250, possession of burglarious instruments and trespassing.

In an unrelated incident, Wareham Police Detectives with assistance from Southeast Mass Law Enforcement Council (SEMLEC) arrested four individuals after a search at #33 Red Wing Mobile Home Park revealed numerous illegal prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Dennis Fahey, 40, the homeowner, was charged with Possession of Class B Cocaine. Zachary Moreira, 23, of Palmer St. New Bedford has been charged with Possession of Class B Percocet and Possession of Class B Suboxone. Raul Medina, 24, of Pleasantview Ave., Fall River, and John Thomas, 41, of Mulberry St., Brockton, were arrested on outstanding default warrants issued by New Bedford District Court.
