Wareham Police arrest drunk driver and 4 others

Wareham Police saw a busy end to a busy month on Tuesday, July 31 with a total of four arrests including a belligerent drunk driver.

At 1 a.m. on Tuesday, Officer Nate Aronson observed a car driving erratically on Sandwich Road. Aronson pulled the car over on Main Street and arrested the operator after an investigation.

The driver, Shaunelle Black, 34, of Wareham identified herself under a false name to Arsonson. Black was recognized by Officer Zina Kelsch after arriving at the station.

Police said Black was uncooperative during the booking process, hurling insults at Kelsch and Sergeant Daniel Henderson. Black is charged with operating the under the influence of liquor, operating to endanger, failure to stop at a stop sign, speeding, marked lanes violation, operator refusing to identify self, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

Later, at 10:45 a.m., Officers Kyle Gomes and Matthew Donovan arrested Michael Pardi, 27, of Wareham on two warrants on Winslow Lane.

Gomes and Donovan also arrested Ryan Lindstrom, 23, of Wareham for an outstanding warrant on Merchants Way at about 1:15 p.m.

Officer Michael Phinney arrested Samantha Bergeron, 25, of, Wareham, about 15 minutes later for driving with a suspended license on Charge Pond Road. Bergeron also had an outstanding warrant for her arrest.

On Wednesday, August 1, Officers Charles Pillsbury and Kelsch arrested Heather Anne Murphy, 25, of Wareham for driving with a suspended license at about 9 a.m. The arrest occurred on Cranberry Highway near Red Brook Road.

Police also said three additional individuals were placed into protective custody at various calls before 10 p.m. on Tuesday.
