Wareham Police charge juvenile with assaulting officer

Wareham Police made several arrests over the past few days, including a juvenile who has been charged with assaulting a police officer. 

Police said that the juvenile, who is not being identified, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, and vandalizing property.

The juvenile was arrested on Dec. 26, at about 7:30 p.m. by Officers Nate Aronson and Eric Machado. Due to the age of the defendant, additional information was not released, police said.

On Dec. 27, at about 10:30 a.m., Officer George Chandler arrested David Moos, 55, of East Wareham at his home. Police said Moos had two warrants for his arrest.

On Dec. 29, at about 1:45 p.m., Officer Zina Kelsch arrested Kenneth Lounge, 38, of Plymouth, after a motor vehicle stop on Cranberry Highway. Police charged Lounge with operating after revocation of a driver’s license.

On Dec. 30, at about 12:30 a.m., Officers Ryan Turner and Karl Baptiste arrested John McDonough, 62, of Wareham, at Chili’s Restaurant. Officers had been called there for a report of a disturbance. Police said McDonough was hostile. He was charged with disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.
