The Wareham Police Department will accept expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs on Oct. 28 from 10 a.m.  to 2 p.m. at the station, located at 2515 Cranberry Highway.

Liquids or needles will not be accepted. The service is free and anonymous with no questions asked. The collected medications will be disposed of by Covanta Energy at several of their Energy-From-Waste facilities located throughout New England. These facilities convert collected pharmaceutical waste into clean, renewable energy for use by local communities.
