The Wareham Police Department announced two new hires on March 6: Hannah Salerno and Malik Wilkes.

Salerno is a lifelong resident of Onset and a graduate of Wareham High School. She is currently pursuing a degree at Bridgewater State University.

Wilkes has served as a summer special police officer in Wareham and has earned a bachelor’s degree from Westfield State University.

Both are currently attending the police academy, and will graduate in several weeks.

“Malik and Hannah are going to be great additions to the Wareham Police Department, and we look forward to their service,” said Chief John Walcek.
