Aug 18, 2018

Wareham Police responded to a call for an attempted break in on Thursday, Aug. 16 at a residence on Gibbs Avenue around 9:20 p.m.

Two women were reportedly ripping screens off of the house and kicking in the front door.

Officers Aaron Pacheco and Nate Aronson responded to the scene and confronted the two women who had broken into the home. When officers asked the women to identify themselves, one refused.

The pair were later identified as Jaime Zornitsky, 27, of Mashpee and Tara Nightingale, 23, of Mashpee.

Wareham Police had taken Zornitsky into custody just four days prior Tuesday, Aug 14. for operating with a suspended license and speeding. Zornitsky failed to identify herself to officers during that incident as well.

Both were charged with unarmed burglary and police say it should be noted that this was not a random incident.

On Friday morning, at about 6:30 a.m., Officers Stephen Harrison and Christopher Corner arrested Danielle Engle, 46, of Buzzards Bay for an outstanding warrant on Cranberry Highway during a motor vehicle stop.

On Thursday, Aug. 16 five other individuals were also placed into custody for varying offenses that police are unable to publicly disclose.
